White Light's lighting designer Jason Larcombe designed a system to capture the atmosphere of the evening, lighting a performance stage and backdrop, and reinforcing the V&A's distinctive atmosphere in order to create a magical look and feel to the museum for the guests.
To enable the transformation, White Light made use of its extensive equipment stock, including some of its latest vision and media LED equipment which was applied to create a flexible and exciting backdrop to the range of performances, each differing in style and focus. White Light also introduced a range of automated LED equipment, accompanied by battery powered and wireless control systems allowing the lighting to extend to the far corners of the venue quickly and without the need for unattractive cabling.
White Light provided a complete lighting service - design, equipment supply, health-and-safety work, installation scheduled so as not to disturb the museum during public opening hours, show running and load-out. The event's organisers and producers were left with nothing to worry about, and were able to just sit back and enjoy the stunning lighting for their show.
