On the church's DuPage campus, the JM-1P loudspeaker system supports contemporary worship music services in an 800-seat high school auditorium. "The quality and clarity of the JM-1P system is like night and day compared to our old setup," says Stephen Kendeigh, technical director for the DuPage campus in West Chicago. "I had heard the Meyer Sound system at our main campus and was impressed with the sound quality - I knew using Meyer Sound would be a positive experience."
The portable system comprises two flown JM-1P loudspeakers per side, with three UPJ-1P VariO loudspeakers used for front-fill. A Galileo loudspeaker management system with one Galileo 616 processor provides system drive and alignment.
At the 7,095-seat Worship Centre in South Barrington, 14 1100-LFC loudspeakers complement a previously installed Milo line array loudspeaker system and replace the Meyer Sound M3D-Sub directional and USW-1P subwoofers installed in 2003.
"With the new 1100-LFCs, we can now offer a complete package with incredible headroom on the low end," says Matt Wentz, audio systems engineer for the South Barrington campus. "The sound is clean, consistent, and perfect for our energetic style of worship. It feels like the loudspeakers are right in front of you."
All Meyer Sound systems were provided and installed by Lake Forest, Ill.-based TC Furlong.
