In February 2007, Wybron's new management team presented plans for actively picking up the pace of its product development. The company promised to introduce one product per month from April 2007 through the start of this year's trade show season.
"We set a high benchmark for Wybron's product development team and are really pleased to report that they have exceeded our commitments," said Turner. "A number of the new products Wybron will be showing at PLASA 2007 are platform independent and stem from the success of our InfoTrace Control and Management System. The industry requested additional platform support so we went to work to fulfill this need."
Wybron intends to launch the following products at PRG Distribution's PLASA booth:
Nexera DX is Wybron's CMY colour changing fixture with an integrated dimmer and power supply, designed for retrofit installations where there is no access to centralised dimming.
The DPS-850 is a distributed dimmer and power supply unit that provides an 800 watt dimmer and 50 watt power supply, suitable for retrofit installations or remote locations.
Net-IT Gateway is a gateway for DMX over Ethernet applications that will be previewed with product launch at LDI 2007 - the Net-IT Gateway provides feedback to the InfoTrace Control and Management System and also provides Ethernet to DMX/RDM conversion. The unit will support common DMX over Ethernet protocols and ACN. The Net-IT Gateway makes the functionality of InfoTrace available on all protocols and allows them to be platform independent.
Net-IT PS600 is a 600W power supply with an integrated gateway to provide feedback to the InfoTrace Control and Management System that also provides Ethernet to DMX/RDM conversion. The Net-IT PS600 will support common DMX over Ethernet protocols and ACN. The system Wybron will be showing at PLASA 2007 will demonstrate Artnet. The Net-IT PS600 is being previewed at PLASA 2007 with product launch at LDI 2007.
Transition Fixed Color is a fibre optic illuminator that provides white light and has the ability to be fitted with a single MR16 sized dichroic glass filter. The unit also comes standard with twinkle wheel.
Finally, Transition Twinkle Wheel is a CMY fibre optic illuminator similar to the unit launched earlier in 2007 but with integrated twinkle wheel.
The company also intends to demonstrate its previously launched InfoTrace Control and Management System, Outdoor BP-2 Beam Projector and DMX/RDM Opto-Splitter at PLASA.
"Our customers report that they are extremely pleased with the successful high-quality product offerings Wybron has been bringing to market this year. Our new management team not only set its sights on increasing the pace of Wybron's product offerings into the lighting industry but also on a number of key vertical markets, such as the architectural, cruise ship and house of worship spaces," added Turner.
