For the Matthew Williamson show at Royal Albert Hall and the Björn Borg launch party, the lighting was dynamic
UK - CAST of Toronto, Canada was recently in the fashion limelight during London Fashion Week (LFW). The runways showcased the 2012 autumn and winter collections of some of the world's top designers including Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood and Alice Temperley and attracted visitors from over 25 countries including US, France, Italy, Russia, Middle East, China and UAE.

To ensure the designer clothing was shown at its best, lighting was given the utmost consideration. Tupac Martir, director of Satore Studio in London lit the runways at the Temperley, Björn Borg, House of Holland and Vivienne Westwood shows, amongst several others, doing all previsualization in wysiwyg.

"We use wysiwyg for all the shows, it helps tremendously when they occur so closely together," says Martir, "We actually run wysiwyg on a gaming machine at our studio with Alien Ware and two video cards with four gigabytes each. This machine is solely dedicated to wysiwyg and we get instantaneous results, which we display on a 42" plasma screen."

He continues, "For the Matthew Williamson show at Royal Albert Hall and the Björn Borg launch party, the lighting was very dynamic and we needed to see how the movement would look within the walls of these venues. wysiwyg replicated this exactly in real time and we had full confidence that the designs would look the way we expected.

"Vivienne Westwood at Goldsmiths Hall and Temperly at the ICE were also particular favourites. We covered many levels and several rooms and the effect was very elegant. Temperley in particular had a decadent renaissance feel in both the lighting and the collection itself."
