"Nuage seamlessly marries dedicated Yamaha control and interface hardware with Steinberg's Nuendo 6 DAW software, delivering unprecedented creativity for professionals in the broadcast, advertising, film and games industries," says the company. "Combining cutting-edge technology from two of the professional sound industry's biggest hitters, Nuage signifies a radical re-defining of what is possible in audio post-production."
Studios which have recently invested in Nuage include The Soundshack in Hamburg, Germany; Stone Post production in Bratislava, Slovakia; Mediaset in Cologno Monzese, Italy; Temple of Tune in Kuurne Belgium and the in-house production studio of popular Austrian band Die Seer.
"Many very complex applications have become manageable with Nuage. It's like mixing on a real console, though easier, faster and more flexible," says Fredo Gevaert, Temple of Tune owner.
"The benefits of Nuage are obvious," says Marco Trinchero and Flavio Nichisoli of C9 Studio at Mediaset. "Seamless integration between software and controller, which isn't mediated by universal protocols or unstable drivers; great flexibility in the configuration of touch screen and buttons; the sturdy, almost military build quality of the Yamaha hardware and an impressive array of additional software functions."
Nuage was demo'd at ProLight+Sound 2014, Frankfurt.
