"It feels like a homecoming," says Thorny. "John Meyer and I have a long-standing collaborative relationship and we share the same vision of excellence and innovation in sound reinforcement design. I'm very pleased to have the opportunity to apply my real-world experience to the development of new Meyer Sound products."
In his new role, Thorny will work with Perrin Meyer and the Meyer Sound R&D team, as well as with LCS Audio, in conceiving of, developing, and bringing to market the next generation of existing products, such as the Galileo loudspeaker management system and LCS Audio's VRAS variable room acoustic system, as well as new digital audio products.
"Thorny and I have always shared a belief that new technologies should enhance sound reinforcement equipment without making it more complicated," says CEO John Meyer. "He has know-how accumulated over years of working with some of the world's finest artists, and we are excited to have him put that knowledge to use in product design as Meyer Sound moves forward."
