UK - Zero 88 Lighting, as part of its ongoing commitment to education and small theatrical establishments, has developed the Zero 88 Financial Award Scheme.

The FAS is a grant scheme redeemable against Zero 88 products, and is available to schools and amateur dramatics groups. Twice a year, the company will be offering Awards, enabling UK organizations to claim 50% of the cost of their new lighting control equipment. The Award has been divided into three areas - Infant/Primary/ Junior schools; amateur dramatics organizations; Secondary schools and colleges.

"Schools and amateur organizations are always looking for grant schemes to apply for, as government and school funding for performing arts is often inadequate," comments Zero's Scheme creator, Grant Bales-Smith. "There are existing grant providers, but very few specific to our industry. We hope our scheme will enable those at the lower end of the market to choose the equipment they really need, rather than only what they can afford."
