USA - Cody James created the lighting and production design for Yellowcard’s current Ocean Avenue 20th Anniversary Tour.
“This design was built on two main ideas,” said James. “I wanted to have no blank space, but at the same time I didn’t want the stage to feel cluttered. Also, I wanted the whole thing to have an almost organic feel, something that felt natural and didn’t take away from the band playing their first shows in seven years.”

USA - A San Francisco landmark, and arguably the most celebrated venue in rock history, The Fillmore promises to carry its status into the future thanks to a complete audio upgrade anchored by a new Meyer Sound reinforcement system. Built around the flagship Panther large-format linear line array loudspeaker, the new system was supplied and installed by UltraSound, another company with deep roots in the rich history of San Francisco’s post-1960s music scene.

UK - The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo’s vision is to be the world’s greatest immersive event. Creative Technology supported the technical delivery of the projection which was displayed across Edinburgh Castle throughout each of the spectacular shows that took place over a period of three weeks from 5-26 August.

The new passive line array system offers the same sound coverage, powerful bass, and easy handling as the active line array system, but with more flexibility and versatility for professional operators.
The new passive line array system consists of the Odin T-8 satellite and the Odin S-18 subwoofer. The company purchased 40 Claypaky Xtylos, 42 Mini Xtylos HPE, 12 Skylos and 100 Mini B Aqua fixtures. For the first time, Ayrton is launching a weather-sealed effects luminaire that offers as much creative potential indoors as outdoors. Argo 6 presents a minimalist design incorporating features for total protection against harsh weather with easier internal access.
A new composite alloy, reduction in thickness of the parts, an optimised cooling system, simplified lens guidance, and integration of low-density optical components, mean Ayrton has been able to reduce overall weight by 20%. Building Concerns - The Royal and Derngate theatre in Northampton has closed for the rest of the month following the “unfortunate discovery” of RAA concrete in its infrastructure. It makes the venue the first major theatre to be impacted by the crisis involving reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC), which was used to build schools and other buildings between the 1950s and mid-1990s.
The government has described the concrete as “a lightweight form of concrete”. The concrete has since been found to be at risk of collapse, with schools across the UK having to close because of the potential danger. In a statement, the Royal and Derngate said: “Due to the unfortunate discovery of RAA Concrete in our buildings, Royal and Derngate is temporarily closed.
