In particular, AC-ET will focus on Lycian's flexible M2 modular followspot systems. This is comprised of modules that can be assembled into different configurations and tailored to an exact specification, or changed and modified according to varying needs or environments, providing a perfect solution for all types of rental, staging and installed applications.
The M2 uses condenser optics and has a smooth, flat beam. Features includes an integrated frost filter, variable focal optics, Lycian flip lens, automatic, self cancelling colour boom, dichroic rings, independent horizontal and vertical side shutters and a fine focus control.
Both AC-ET and its North American sister company, A.C. Lighting Inc., have had a longstanding relationship with Lycian Stage Lighting.
Says Lycian's director of sales, Steve Lerman, "AC-ET has a tremendous technical knowledge base on all the products it represents, plus a great reach and much respect in the marketplace."
AC-ET's northern sales director Jonathan Walters comments, "We're delighted to add Lycian to our product portfolio. It is a premium lighting brand and a perfect complement to all the others that we distribute. The M2 has proven to be a very robust product that's popular with rental companies, so we look forward to working with Lycian Stage Lighting and getting some very positive results."
In addition to the M2 system, Lycian's current range of followspots consists of 14 'conventional' fixtures utilising Tungsten, HTI, HMI/MSR and Xenon lightsources. The new 1295, which operates with 3K and 4K xenon lamps, is the company's brightest followspot to date.
