King Tut's Wah Wah Tent at T in The Park
UK - The Adlib Audio team, this year crew chiefed by Hassane Es Siahi, returned to the King Tut's Wah Wah Tent at T in The Park Festival at Balado, Kinross-shire, Scotland.

A rainy & windy weekend didn't stop 80,000 people enjoying the Festival. King Tut's Wah Wah Tent had featured an array of artists and an electric atmosphere throughout the weekend.

The eclectic line up featured amongst many. Ellie Goulding, Empire of the Sun, We Are Scientists , Diana Vickers , Mumford & Sons and concluded with a set by David Guetta on the Sunday evening.

Adlib designed and installed a JBL VerTec PA system, with 10 flown VT4889 elements per side, complete with nine ground stacked VT4880As subs.

New for this year, they ran the subs in cardioid mode, with two stacks of two cabinets pointing forward and one in the middle facing back, which helped spread the general coverage and concentrated the sound output into the audience, making the whole low-end more powerful and efficient. It was the first time they had tried this configuration in the Tent, which sounded "Exceptional and very appropriate," according to Es Siahi, keeping all the Adlib team and visiting sound engineers happy.

The stage was approximately 20m wide and the Tent approximately 120m long, so plenty of coverage was needed. The system also had to be dynamic and flexible enough to deal with a wide array of musical genres.

They used two L-Acoustics ARCs for out-fills, and dV-DOSCs for in-fills to cover the centre sections of audience.

System processing was achieved using Adlib's standard Dolby Lake processor set up, run via a wireless remote tablet, complete with BSS graphics, Drawmer gates, a selection of Avalon , dbx 160a and 160SL compressors.

The monitor console was a Yamaha PM5D and this was running 16 MP3 wedges and two dV SUBS, used for atmospherics and movement behind the drums.

The PA was driven by a combination of Camco Vortex 6 amps (for the VerTec mid highs) and Labgruppen PLM 14000s with the inbuilt Dolby Lake processing, which powered the subs and the monitor system.

At FOH a Midas H3000 was selected because it is a mixing desk that most sound engineers know well.

Es Siahi was joined on the crew by an experienced Adlib festival team, with Kenny Perrin and Otto Kroyman onstage along with Laura Davis and Mike Flaherty.

Es Siahi, who has worked on three out of five Adlib T in the Park productions, commented, "Everything went very smoothly from our perspective. It's one of our favourite festivals - the schedule is completely full-on, the line up exciting and varied and everyone on site is helpful and friendly. It's such a well run Festival and we are always really happy to be there."
