Licht & Ton Union, D.A.S. distributor in Germany, was responsible for mounting the audio on a stage built especially for the occasion. They flew 12 Aero 12A two-way powered systems, six on either side of the stage, along with six ground stacked LX-218A subwoofers. The Aero 12A, part of the new Aero Series2 debuted at Frankfurt's Prolight & Sound. Designed for easy handling, precise coverage, and high acoustic output, the latest Class D amplification, digital signal processing and D.A.S. optimised components have been combined in the Aero 12A.
All of the technicians were "extremely satisfied" with the Aero 12A as they provided "exceptional performance". The technicians were similarly impressed with the power of the LX-218A subwoofers which demonstrated their capabilities during this live event. "Without a doubt, the new subwoofers provide the Aero systems with yet another precision tool and higher sound quality," comments Licht & Ton Union director Andreas Riedel. The signal processing was carried out by means of the DSP-2060.
Both Jack Palacio, area sales manager and Joan La Roda, D.A.S. Audio engineer, attended the premiere, which coincided with the celebration of the Showtech Berlin fair, where Licht & Tom Union had a stand presenting the latest D.A.S. products.
