"The Amadeus MAESTRO subwoofer takes a revolutionary step forward in subwoofer technology and design with a unique combination of both low power handling capacity and ultra high-efficiency with dual high-linear excursion 15" horn-loaded speakers mounted in a push-pull mode," says the company. At the Fete de la Musique EDM stage, only 8 subwoofers were paired with 2 Lab Gruppen C88:4 amplifiers offering a maximum SPL 155 dB at 25 Hz. Over 10,000 people attended the EDM event at the stunning Place du Palais Royal in downtown Paris.
For dance music, DJs love bass. Commenting on the Amadeus live sound setup DJ Michaƫl Canitrot said: "I was very impressed by the power, the pureness and the spectral quality of the Amadeus live sound system throughout the whole listening area. For my music, a high-fidelity reinforcement of bass matching the sound I prefer, and that was recorded in the studio, is important, especially when I play a huge live show! In this sense, I was totally satisfied by the new Amadeus prototype subwoofer, it provided deep, clear and powerful natural-sounding bass."
The company adds: "An example of the advantage of Amadeus MAESTRO to other subwoofer systems: it would take 24 standard double 18-inch speaker subwoofer systems, using 24 power channels, to equal only 8 MAESTRO subwoofer setups using just two power amplifiers, (such as the Lab Gruppen C88:4). The Amadeus MAESTRO subwoofer system is still in testing, and continues to be refined, the product is set to be released in Asia in 2014, with the price TBA."
At the Fete de la Musique, the prototype MAESTRO subwoofers were placed on the ground, complementing the Amadeus DIVA XL array speaker systems hung above on stage rigging. Released in 2000, the Amadeus DIVA XL line array element is the company's premiere speaker component for high-definition sound reproduction and reinforcement.
