Coinciding with the Moscow Prolight+Sound NAMM 2013 trade show, the first of these seminars was held in collaboration with D.A.S. Audio's Russian distributor LTM Music Company and with the invaluable assistance of company member Victor Petrenko. Eva Argandoña, head of D.A.S. Audio's Department of Sound Projects, kicked off the day by speaking about the different aspects of acoustic and auralization simulations performed during sound installation projects, with an in-depth explanation of the main differences between line array systems and conventional sound systems.
D.A.S. Audio Systems Engineer Joel Damiano followed with a lecture on the several variables involved with the configurations and settings of the D.A.S. Aero Series 2 line array systems, a product line-up that has continually demonstrated its exceptional qualities at live events worldwide. Damiano later discussed other basic live-sound topics, including the main aspects of the systems' temporal adjustment and subwoofer cardioid configuration.
A second seminar, held a few days later in Ukraine, was attended by an impressive 60 sound industry professionals. D.A.S. Audio turned to local professionals Indigo Music Company and company representative Anna Lokshina to handle the organization and management of the event.
D.A.S. Engineer Eva Argandoña attended both Eastern European seminars and was on hand to give the Ukrainian attendees an in-depth explanation of the company's EASE Focus software, an acoustic measuring and simulation tool that has become a must-have in today's sound applications and projects.
