Germany - Audio-Technica is exhibiting major new products at this year's prolight+sound exhibition, including the company's first wireless in-ear monitor systems and USB interface production microphone.

Harvey Roberts, senior UK marketing manager, commented, "We are especially excited about our presence at this year's prolight+sound, as we have a strong line up of new products that demonstrates the diversity of Audio-Technica's product engineering for the professional audio market. And, of course, visitors will be offered our customary stress free hospitality, including our popular chill out zone with professional massage; all highlighting how relaxing it is to do business with Audio-Technica."

On the new product front, the M2 and M3 IEM systems are high performance systems, each appointed for distinct sectors of the professional audio market. The M2 provides a mid market system for solo performers, small groups, presenters, and small to medium sized concert systems, while the M3 is designed to fulfil large scale music, theatre and broadcast production requirements.

Both systems comprise a lightweight body-pack stereo receiver, and a stereo transmitter equipped with two 1/4"/XLR combo input connectors for line-level inputs from mixing consoles. Mono or stereo operation is selectable, and Audio-Technica's Personal Mix Control gives individual control of the balance between the wearer's personal signal level and the monitor mix.

Both are equipped with Audio-Technica's EP3 earphones featuring an Audio-Technica dynamic driver, to allow performers to hear themselves at comfortable SPL's. The EP3 earphones come with three sizes of rubber flexible ear-tips and a universal-fit foam tip for a custom fit, increased isolation and long-wearing listening comfort without ear fatigue.

The AT2020 USB is an affordable, large diaphragm, studio cardioid condenser microphone featuring direct connectivity to Mac and Windows desktop production systems via USB. Based on the AT2020, the AT2020 USB offers "studio quality articulation and intelligibility" in recording acoustic signal sources direct to computer based recording systems.

Also new at prolight+sound is the PRO 92cW subminiature omnidirectional condenser headworn microphone system. Building on the popularity of the AT892, the PRO 92cW is a low profile headworn mic, with an ultra miniature condenser capsule that provides a natural sound and minimum visibility. The affordably priced package has been developed primarily for educational, corporate AV/presentation, broadcast and theatre sound applications.
