XTA DP224s managed the majority of the Adamson loudspeaker system used on the French leg of the tour. The main loudspeaker system consisted of 16 Adamson Y10 speakers - two racks, each containing a DP224, provided system control for eight cabinets apiece. DP224s also featured in the slave racks used for the Adamson T21 subs, as well as for the ground-stacked loudspeakers that consisted of eight Y10s. Eight Adamson SpekTrix and four SpekTrix bass were used as out-fills, once again managed by DP224s. And for lipfills, four SpekTrix were used with the rack containing a DP226. Finally, an XTA GQ600 was used for the main EQ at FOH.
Metz-based MPM Audiolight supplied the equipment for the French part of the tour. The system technician was Julien Poirot of Waveform Audio who is also part of the commercial and technical support team at XTA's French distributor, DV2. Poirot said, "We used a DP324 SiDD unit on the main outputs for dynamic EQ. It was really great to have a dynamic EQ on the mix; you can use it to smooth the signal. A D2 and a C2 were used as dynamics - the D2 was on an acoustic guitar, and the C2 on drums, bass and vocals."
For the Paris show at the Olympia, Poirot experimented with a different set-up. "I requested some SpekTrix bass cabinets for trying out a flown cardioid configuration," Poirot said. "We used XTA DP448 speaker management for the 12 flown subs as well as for the four T-21 Subs placed on the ground in cardioid mode."
