The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the most prestigious awards in the world. Every year, the ceremony takes place on 10 December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, and is followed by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert the day after. Featuring an international selection of musical artists and celebrity hosts, the concert honours the Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
The concert is held every year at the Oslo Spektrum Arena in the centre of Oslo. The customized three-tiered stage was able to host 50 singers and musicians at a time. A staggering number of 17 Barco events projectors provided the extra-large video screens with high quality picture-perfect images, in order to make sure that everyone in the arena and at home could enjoy the spectacular show.
"The Nobel Peace Prize Concert is an impressive event, attended by over 6,000 guests, with broadcasts in around 120 countries and reaches more than 500 million viewers every year," comments Kristian Heder from AVAB CAC. "So, it is vital to select the right projectors to give us the reliability and image quality we need for this show."
"In total, we selected 17 Barco events projectors for various setups," continues Heder. "The large centre stage screen was fed by five blended CLM R10+ projectors and two HDX-W14 projectors. The two side rings each contained two blended FLM HD20 projectors. Finally, to make sure the audience could follow all action on stage, four RLM-W8 projectors provided live video to the two side screens inside the arena. In addition to the projectors, we incorporated 100 MiSTRIPs into the artist stage set."
