The Spyder X20 includes the matrix switching and integrated source monitoring functionality of the Christie Vista URS. It also includes all of the existing features of the Vista Spyder, such as high-end presentation capabilities and an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that appeals to experienced and new customers.
New to the Spyder family is the unmatched 20 megapixel bandwith feature, which is available in both of the models; the Spyder X20-1608 and the Spyder X20-0808. Both models support blending, windowing, mixing and scaling in any source format and then route the signal to any destination device.
The unique architecture of the Spyder X20 supports a resolution and video format-independent environment. This means that multiple displays (both widescreen and single screen destination) can be combined to generate an enhanced resolution that exceeds what any single display can support.
The Spyder X20-1608 features 16 inputs and 8 outputs and the Spyder X20-0808 has 8 inputs and 8 outputs. In both models, any output can be rotated to display portrait images. Other common features include universal input/output capabilities and built-in conversion for analog/digital, interlaced/progressive, resolution, aspect ratio and frame. Users can also benefit from true, live preview, advanced auto-sync capabilities, as well as integrated source monitoring and online editing.
"Integrators and end-users in the high-end boardroom, command and control, education, houses of worship and live event sectors will find that the Spyder X20 helps them meet display configuration requirements," the company adds.
The Spyder X20 has a single point of control for all processing and signal distribution as well as built-in image capture/still storage to ensure streamlined configurations and smooth operation. Large-scale 3D visualization environments will also benefit from the Spyder X20 due to its 20 mexapixel bandwith and high frame rate capability for WQXGA resolution.
"We're excited to be launching our most progressive video processor yet," remarks Clark Williams, president of Vista Systems. "The cost-effective Spyder X20 was designed to answer our client's needs for affordability and functionality, allowing companies of all sizes to enjoy the benefits of wide screen displays and enhanced windowing capabilities."
