"To drive sustained growth for the Company, we decided to align these two business units into one," said Chris Schyvinck, Shure's executive vice president of global marketing and sales. "This new structure enables us to offer a broader set of resources to support our channel partners throughout the Americas - Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean - while continuing the same high level of service and support to our sales reps and customers in the US."
Mark Humrichouser has been appointed general manager of the Americas Business Unit. In this capacity, Mark will lead the overall business for North America, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. In his most recent position at Shure, he was responsible for the growth and success of the US market as the general manager.
"I've enjoyed working with our US sales representatives, and I now look forward to working with a highly-regarded group of distributors throughout the rest of North and South America", said Humrichouser. "Our Americas Business Unit team is positioned well, so that together, with all of our channel partners, we will continue to move the company forward."
Leading the sales team for the Americas will be José Rivas. As the director of sales, he will continue to play a critical role in sales and distribution strategy as well as market development for the business unit throughout the geographic region.
Terri Hartman is the director of marketing for the new organisation. She will lead all advertising, marketing communications, public relations, and artist relations activities for the Americas. Hartman has held several sales and marketing roles in her 14 years at Shure.
