CTI's president Gary Fails said: "We just listened to our customers who asked us to build this device. Many lighting shops had devised homemade ways to get partially to where we have gotten, but our license agreement with Color Kinetics gives us the ability to use their patented technology in new and innovative ways."
"We're pleased to expand our relationship with City Theatrical, whose market expertise coupled with our leading technology makes PDS-750 TR a reliable and robust solution for event and entertainment lighting applications," said Bill Sims, president and COO of Color Kinetics.
PDS-750 TR includes a function similar to that of the Zapi address-setting device, which enables users to address all fixtures plugged into the power/data supply to channel one, thereby allowing a starting DMX channel to be set via standard BCD switches. Built-in dimming routines allow user selectable fades to be accomplished without the need for a lighting console, making PDS-750 TR perfect for events and other temporary installations. A pass through mode allows iColor Cove fixtures to be operated. Rack-mount, pipe-mount, and custom output configurations are available.
