d&b audiotechnik's C3

Germany - ProLight&Sound 2003: d&b audiotechnik say they have completed the intensive road-testing period of their two-way active C3 line array module. The C3 and C4 combination was on the road throughout the second half of 2002 in a variety of venues around Europe - with outstanding results, say d&b. The C3 is a horn-loaded design which, unlike other line arrays, can be arrayed not only vertically but also horizontally, and by employing the distinctive 30° angled rear side panels and rigging accessories of the C4 cabinet, it extends even further the scalability of the C4 system.

d&b also highlighted a selection of installation projects that they're involved with. These include the Leipzig Zentralstadion, one of the chosen stadiums for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, the prestigious Bolshoi Theatre refurbishment in Moscow and the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay concert hall in Singapore (see L&SI December 2002). These projects also served to highlight d&b's Ci-Series installation range of products, some of which sported new nomenclature for added ease of understanding.
