Benita founded Audio Dynamics S.A. in 1991, which supplied high quality audio equipment and was renowned for it excellent service and after-sales support. In the late 1990s, the company specialized in the install market, mainly specifying, selling and installing projects for Hard Rock Café and Planet Hollywood in Mexico, South America and Spain. "The rental market, which is strong in Mexico, has been dominated by US brands since the late 80s," says Benita. "Reliability and the plug-and-play design of some of these brands, along with a focus on the after-sales support, have all helped towards their success in the Mexican market. This is why I believe d&b is an excellent new alternative for Mexico, it can offer everything that is required to succeed in this difficult market - reliability, support and most importantly flexible systems that produce outstanding sound quality by just pointing them in the right direction and plugging them in."
Initial sales for the Mexican office have come directly from the club scene within Mexico City, the first being the exclusive Mantra restaurant and nightclub; this was followed by the Dorcia. "This is just the beginning," says Benita. "People are listening to these d&b installations and the word is that they like the transparent mid/highs and powerful, well-defined lows that the systems are delivering."
Benita believes that there are strong opportunities for d&b in both the club and rental markets, where owners need more than ever to get the most out of their investment.
