USA - Danley Sound Labs is turning its Synergy Horn and Tapped Horn technologies up to eleven with the launch of the SH-96 at InfoComm 2008. The SH-96 combines eleven drivers - four 15" woofers, six 5" mid-range drivers and a single 1.4" high-frequency compression driver - in a single enclosure.

Sensitivity of the SH-96 is 103dB with a power handling capability of 2800 watts RMS and a frequency response of 50Hz - 18kHz (+/-3dB). The enclosure, constructed from braced Baltic birch, is 26.5" high by 45" wide and 25" deep, and weighs 215 pounds.

Its first installation will be in the renovation of the IMAX theatre on Navy Pier in Chicago, followed by the Morrison Center at Boise State University.

Mike Hedden, president of Danley Sound Labs noted: "The laws of physics are impervious to the current trends of an industry lost in a sea of digital buzz words and loudspeaker designs that work based on self interference! Our industry is always searching for good sound. And it really does exist. The Danley Sound Labs SH-96 combines high-fidelity with accurate phase and magnitude responses, true full-range response, and extremely good physical pattern control down to 200Hz.

Be forewarned, once you hear the Danley loudspeakers it will be tough to listen to anything else. As Nigel says in This is Spinal Tap - 'These go to eleven!'"
