For the Olympic Games, Chinese broadcasting giant CCTV was opted for communications systems from RTS to ensure that sound and images from the Games reach the waiting millions. RTS components - including ADAM and Cronus matrices linked to over sixty KP32 and KP12LK keypanels - form the nerve centre of several of the company's outside broadcast vehicles. In the area of wireless communication, too, Telex BTR700 and TR700 systems will be in action throughout the event.
Systems from EVI Audio are in use in the competition venues as well. The PROCON Group, which was responsible for equipping the stadiums and other arenas for the Games, invested in over 400 Dynacord power amplifiers and 33 Klark Teknik Square One splitters for the Games. In Beijing's Shooting Gymnasium, a variety of Electro-Voice loudspeaker systems and microphones, communications and radio systems from Telex/RTS, and Dynacord CMS Series mixing consoles are installed.
