The desk was specified by Marc Brandon of installation company AVL Acoustic Systems in consultation with the college's in-house AV team. AVL is responsible for supplying equipment for an ongoing staged lighting and audio upgrade for the arts centre, and the Pearl Expert was supplied to them by Avolites' Singaporean distributor Total Solutions.
The Arts Centre is utilised to stage numerous and varied events and shows, accommodating both in-house and visiting productions. The College has its own events team, and some months, up to 15 shows will take place in the auditorium.
"I wanted a new desk that was very user friendly and could easily deal with both moving lights and generics, offering lots of functions," says Brandon.
