To mark their 75th anniversary EWE AG staged an impressive six-month, five-city interactive touring exhibition where customers learned about both the history and the future of the company. The exhibition consisted of a huge marquee (over 1,000sq.m of floor space) that included a wide variety of exhibits informing visitors about the company's services. The event included an audiovisual exhibit with capacity for 300 visitors that featured a massive 360° video projection with surround sound.
The lighting system requirements demanded by the project were high, as the lighting needed to reflect many different musical styles. German LD Michael Döpke developed a comprehensive lighting design to accomplish the concept of the media design agency 'Kunstraum'. It was also very important that the basic brightness in the exhibition area did not overlay the illumination of the individual exhibits. A large range of Pars, profile spots, PCs and moving lights from Coemar and Robe were controlled by the Frog 2 for the show.
LD Michael Döpke explains: "The reason for the use of why we used the Frog 2 is relatively simple. First of all the price of the Frog 2 is unbeatable in this range. Every Hog user can get along with the programming syntax of the Frog 2 without a large briefing and also the future potential of the console is open enough for new ideas."
The Frog 2 and the entire audio, light and video equipment was supplied by Kuehl-Beschallung from Ritterhude, Germany. The conception and realisation of the project provided by event agency Pommerel GmbH.
