USA - Gear-Source Inc has announced some changes to its organisation, intended to "better service the expanding sales and market segments the company now services". With immediate effect, Henry Kones will take on the expanded title of VP of sales and special accounts. This promotion comes on the heels of Kones' first anniversary with the company.

Company president Marcel Fairbairn says: "This is really a natural progression for us. Henry pretty much came in and took over anyway, so we're only making it official." Kones has been closely involved in the company's expansion into video, and will also head up the company's growing Audio category. "Our expansion into these new markets, and our very tight relationships with our largest vendors makes this a very important move for us. The new structure allows me to focus more on the big picture growth of our entire business, plus further web developments. Because of his experience and very strong management and organizational skills, Henry will be perfect in this new role."

Kones will continue to work from his home office in Orlando Florida, but will spend more time visiting the company's headquarters in Wellington. The company is currently interviewing candidates for two new sales / listing positions based either in Florida or the West Coast, both reporting directly to Kones.

In other company news, long-time GearSource employee, Cynthia Viteri, is also promoted to senior sales director. Cynthia will be taking on additional sales responsibilities including her work on the second GearSource 'franchise' office, due to open in the second quarter of 2007. Following the success of GearSource Europe, the company has been working on plans for another office and has pinpointed a location, and possibly a 'franchisee' to operate that location . . .
