Green Hippo ran a competition throughout the show to win a HippoCritter media server. To be in with a chance of winning this valuable prize, attendees simply completed a questionnaire and their details were automatically entered into the prize draw.
A rackmount version of the HippoCritter was on display along with the new version of the HippoPortamus laptop system.
A new component for multi-screen multi-server configurations under the name UberPan took centre stage on the stand. Although still in development, this feature has already run various configurations including a successful summer season in London on the Peter Pan theatre show with design by Bill Dudley. UberPan allows simple configuration and manipulation of complex multi-screen shows from one master interface. For the first time on any server, media splitting is handled automatically for both video and stills, says the company.
Also on display was VideoMapper, a new component allowing easy configuration of video screens with positioning of sections catered for along with rotation and individual colour correction across all parts.
