Based in London, Ian Russell will manage key sales accounts in London and the South East, focusing on the new build and built environment sectors in particular. His duties include business development and delivering tutorials to make the building world more aware of the benefits offered by LED technology. "I have always had a passion for lighting and Greenled ticked all the right boxes," Ian explains. "I hope to earn my green stripes by educating and converting businesses to the benefits of sustainable lighting technology."
Ian ran his own property development business in London for several years after working for an electrical distributor. Having successfully worked his way up the ladder at Newey & Eyre, he brings significant commercial experience to his new role, say Greenled.
Paul Stearman has worked in the lighting industry for over 30 years and joins Greenled as Southern UK sales manager, from the European Lamp Group where he managed accounts within the leisure and hospitality sectors. Paul has a wealth of low-energy lighting knowledge and is convinced the LED is the future of sustainable lighting.
"With so many companies looking to reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint, the advanced LED lighting solutions offered by Greenled are extremely viable," he says.
Merseyside-based Paul Haines has been in sales for fifteen years, and now heads up Greenled's Northern UK sales team. Previously working as science teacher and cable design engineer, Paul most recently worked on technical sales and new business development with VonRoll, a Swiss electrical insulation systems company.
"Greenled is pioneering the rapid progress of LED technology," he says. "I look forward to being part of the team and contributing to the company's continued success".
Nigel Thomas joins Greenled's technical team, having worked as a technical manager with Metropolis in Swansea for the last four years. Proficient in AutoCAD design and with an enviable knowledge of white and colour LEDs, Nigel will focus on project design and new product assessment, to bring cost effective, sustainable solutions to white light illumination.
"I have watched the perfomance of LED based products to the point where light output now rivals "conventional" lighting products such as halogen downlighters," he explains. "I am very pleased to join a company that has a real commitment to reducing energy costs through product innovation.""As the LED market goes from strength to strength, it's been essential to get key people on board," says James Millar, Greenled MD. "We're very pleased to welcome Nigel, Ian and the two Pauls to our team."
