Titled Publicsfear, the exhibition featured works that were selected to explore ideas of being part of and / or observing an audience. These included File Under Sacred Music, a 2003 remake of The Cramps' 1978 video of their live performance at the Napa State Mental Institute, and the 2009 film Performer.
"As artists we're always aiming to push the boundaries of what sound and image can do and it was our long-time collaborators at Arup Acoustics who brought K-Array speakers to our attention," say Forsyth and Pollard..
A pair of Lyzard KZ10s for mid highs, complemented by a KKS50 sub, driven by a KA10-10 compact, twin channel amp comprise the sound system.
"The K-Array system was the perfect solution," says Pollard. "It was almost invisible, but with clear, focused, dynamic sound. Without it we could not have achieved the exhibition design we wanted."
The system used by the pair has now been released by K-array as the KZ10 Pack, which includes two Lyzards, the KKS50 sub and the KA10-10 amp.
"We decided to offer the KZ10 Pack in order to meet the numerous requests we had for Lyzard systems," explains K-array product manager Francesco Maffei. "The KZ10 pack can be used in all small to medium sized applications, where high quality amplification is required, with minimum visual impact, and is very quick to configure and install."
