They have recently made a new investment in 48 x Robe LEDWash 600s.
La Production has been operating for 14 years, eight of those headed by Roger. With 33 full time employees and a wider pool of regular freelance technicians, the go-ahead company has an extensive lighting inventory, LED screens, video projection systems and lasers and is involved in all types of shows and events.
The first investment in Robe moving lights was about six years ago when 60 X ColorWash 575E ATs were purchased for a job in Qatar. Roger is really happy with these and they are still working hard.
This year, the time was right to get more Robe on-board and so they purchased the LEDWash 600s for general rental stock.
Roger and his team considered all the LED wash light options before making the decision to go with Robe. "We conducted several shoot-outs arranged here in our warehouse - arranged by Elie Battah from Robe's Middle East HQ in Dubai to compare the different brands - and the Robe came out as the best quality to price ratio."
Having good brands on-board can significantly boost a company's image in a competitive market and amidst a sea of cheaper and ersatz products. The old phrase 'you get what you pay for' can sometimes go a long way!
One of the features impressing them about the LEDWash is the selection of colour temperature whites, which is ideal for all the theatrical and TV work that they undertake where proper key lighting is essential.
The small size of the LEDWash was another plus point, making them very easy to store, transport and rig. "The fixtures basically cover all our needs and are a good all-round choice," says La Production's' chief technician Elie Harfouche.
Low power consumption is another bonus. Power is often in short supply in Lebanon and outages are a frequent occurrence. Using LEDWashes on the lighting rig can significantly reduce the power needs and costs for an event.
Weddings represent a massive market in Lebanon and La Production supplies technical production to six major wedding venues in and around the city, including the biggest and the most opulent, Chateau Rweiss in Chnanhaïr. This is an indoor and an outdoor space with an average guest count of between 1000 and 1500.
In this context, La Production has used the LEDWash 600s very successfully for creating the moment of drama as the bride enters the room for the first time in front of amassed guests, and then for adding to the general atmosphere and celebration of the occasion.
They have also already used them for many music concerts and festivals including the 2014 Jounieh International Festival and the fixtures have already provided a significant return-on-investment.
