Dating from the 1920s - 1980s, the exhibits included profiles, followspots, magic lanterns, an electro-magnetic colour-changer, ancestors of the modern day PC and the first Robert Juliat followspot, the Comete.

The milestone event was marked with a party at Wednesday's nocturne, the late evening opening, during which a competition took place offering entrants the chance to win a five-day trip to Las Vegas with two tickets to one of the many shows there equipped by Robert Juliat, and a helicopter flight over the city. Playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, one of the ideas of the show, says Lyons, was to have a flavour of 1980s rock lighting, "par can rock" as he calls it. He started by creating a configuration of MAC 2000 Washes that worked both theatrically and looked great in the air for the show's big numbers.

"The 2K Washes are amazing and punchy and perfect for this kind of task," he comments. "What we really needed was the ability to cut through the washes in a big way, both for punchy aerials and very powerful specials within full stage looks. The MAC III Profile fit the bill perfectly. The BR20 lights use standard E26/E27 type, GU10 type and B22 type sockets. There are two models released - one for 110V AC and the other one for 220V AC. The sockets are specially designed so the LED can fit any lamp fixture. The GL-BR20 LED lamp is used for home security, flood lighting, spot lighting, accent lighting and local lighting, and with the special AC LED, it does not require a DC driver, reducing costs considerably.

The ILite LED tiles were all provided by AVP and deployed in a complex configuration for the event. AVP worked closely with the Asia Television design team and production crews to configure the visual display stage backdrop in a relatively short period of time. What's more, as is standard with all Barco rental partners, along with the visual solutions, AVP also provided professional technical support 24/7 throughout the event. Over 100 Robe moving lights - a mix of ColorSpot and ColorWash 1200E ATs - were used for the show in a design by Bovey Xie, with all the equipment supplied by Beijing based rental company Wen Jing Xuan's Shanghai office, along with 30 lighting crew.
