PLASA will be hosting a special lounge in the Leisure Environments section of this year's LIW. The section focuses on how to create the right environment through design, lighting, sound, vision, furniture and fittings.
The strategic partnership was born of a mutual dedication to the leisure industry. LIW addresses the full range of needs of the leisure market, attracting decision-makers from across the board including nightclubs, late-night venue operators, theme parks, themed restaurants, fitness clubs, leisure centres, heritage centres and museums. The audience represents a fertile hunting ground for PLASA's members as these visitors all require lighting and sound products in addition to other environment-enhancing products to meet mounting consumer expectations.
LIW's independent audience audit highlights the importance of lighting, sound and vision products and services to thousands of leisure operators that attend the show. Over 6,500 of LIW 14,276 visitors last year said that they came to LIW to source these types of products. Danny Chesworth, show manager of LIW comments: "As competition across the industry hots up, investment in leisure environments is on a sharp increase. The standard is continually improving to meet a more discerning public and one of the areas known to contribute to the success of operators is that of lighting and sound. This partnership grants our visitors an audience with leading leisure environment players from PLASA and we are delighted to have this relationship with them."
PLASA CEO and MD, Matthew Griffiths, adds: "LIW's broad audience of leisure end users provides a great new opportunity for our members to promote their products and services to organizations they could not make contact with anywhere else."
International Leisure Industry Week takes place from 16-18 September at the NEC, Birmingham. To register for free tickets for the show visit the website below or call 0208 232 1600.
