UK - Exhibiting this week at the PLASA09 exhibition at Earls Court, London, Australia-based LSC Lighting Systems made the official launch of its latest lighting control package - a powerful PC/MAC based lighting control package named Clarity. The Clarity concept was well received by visitors to PLASA09. "It's been really good," said LSC's Pete Floyd, adding, "In fact, I would say it's the best PLASA show we've done."

LSC believes that Clarity, which was a nominee in this year's PLASA Awards for Innovation, will excite even the most experienced user. It offers a powerful feature set and offers seamless integrated control of intelligent lights, LED pixel mapping and Media servers "the likes of which has not been seen before", the company says.

Paul Collison, the lighting/technical consultant for the Beijing Olympics, said of Clarity: "Clarity has one of the best pixel-mapping features I've come across. This is an impressive combination of both software and hardware."

Speaking at PLASA09, LSC's managing director Gary Pritchard told LSI: "We've been hearing it all the time on the stand - the sound of the visitor going 'Ah!' as it suddenly clicks with them what Clarity can do."

He added: "LSC has been manufacturing lighting control consoles for just on 30 years. Our tie-up with Nick Denville with his vast experience of lighting controllers, starting with Hog 2, has enabled us to continue this tradition and offer an extremely competitive and feature packed product range."

The Clarity range initially consists of the intuitive Clarity software, a pair of DMX/RDM decoders and two Wings which enable the user easy control and vast flexibility of operation. Clarity is already a fully featured lighting control product, and LSC says it plans to keep it one step ahead of the competition by regularly adding new features.

Clarity software is available now through the LSC Lighting distribution network.
