As grandMA video is a fully integrated part of the grandMA network system, it is not just triggered via DMX. This has many advantages.
On the one hand a minimum of setup and configuration is required due to bi-directional communication between the console and the grandMA video software. The grandMA console allows for direct access to the server (content browser) and previews the content as thumbnails in the preset. The PC can therefore be placed directly at the projector or moving video light, with no need for long video cables. The grandMA video software enables a console operator to control and alter videos, still images and three-dimensional objects in real-time.
