Last year, the second trade fair for musical instruments and accessories, lighting, sound and event technology in the Northwest Region of the Russian Federation, enabled around 300 exhibitors to make contact with some 8,000 visitors at the exhibition centre in St. Petersburg. Nevertheless, the results of this edition showed that the expectations of Messe Frankfurt in terms of event growth and profitability were unlikely to be fulfilled in the medium term. "Musikmesse/Prolight+Sound St. Petersburg reached a considerable number of market participants and generated important impulses for the conclusion of business transactions between foreign manufacturers and companies in Russia's second-biggest economic region," says Udo Schürtzmann, deputy general director of Messe Frankfurt RUS, assessing the significance of the fair. "We are delighted that the fair is to be continued under the management of Lenexpo, our partner of many years' standing."
The next event is planned to take place in St. Petersburg from 16-19 June 2005.
