The Fratellis performing.
Italy - Milan's long-established The Rolling Stone venue has a new sound system. Adamson's Italian distributor, Reference Laboratory's Angelo Tordini specked and designed the main hall installation. It features three complete systems meant for diverse uses. One is the full size, flown, concert set-up. It is made up of two arrays of a single Y10 Sub on top, with four Y10's and four SpekTrix 5 degree boxes flown as in an under-hang. TwoY10 Subs, each equipped with two 18" Kevlar Neodymium drivers, are placed on the ground to add a balanced low-end and Reference Laboratory monitors are used on the stage to complete the concert system.

The second system is a complete surround style system used exclusively for the club nights and private events. The independent club system has two arrays of one SpekTrix Sub and a four SpekTrix under hang, placed directly opposite to the Concert system, as well as a single T21 Sub hung in the centre of the room, pointing down from the ceiling, providing 140.5dB of continuous SPL to keep the masses dancing all night. The main floor boasts an equally impressive lighting system which is hung off a massive trussing rig that hovers over the dance floor, illuminating the room with LED lighting, incorporating several LCD TV's.

The third system is Reference Laboratory's proprietary speakers that are hung from the ceiling in the glass-shielded room underneath the balcony, which is directly behind the seated stair area of the main floor. It contains two bars, a lounge and a conversation area. This area has full view of the main dance floor, the stage and about a dozen flat video screens.

The two monitoring areas are up on a private balcony, with a circular staircase straight off the stage. FOH receives a custom barricade on the floor during concerts, placed directly in front of the seated stairs, thus keeping the optimal listening point without obstructing the audience's view of the stage. Both Adamson sound systems are equipped with the European standard Adamson turnkey solutions package for power and processing, complete with Lab.gruppen amplifiers and XTA processing.
