More TOA products have been given EN54-24 loudspeaker system certification
UK / Germany - On the eve of the EN54 series of fire safety standards passing into European law this week, TOA has announced that another raft of its products have been given EN54-24 loudspeaker system certification.

The first manufacturer to offer a total solution for EN54-certified voice evacuation systems, TOA continues to gain certification for additional products in its range, and has now confirmed that the PC-2369EN ceiling speaker, along with horn and box speakers BS-678BSB, BS-678BSW, CS-64BS, CS-154BS and SC-615BS as well as the PC-1867FC ceiling speaker and BS-680FC steel cabinet speaker have all been given EN54-24 approval. The entire VM-3000 Series PA/VA System and network-based SX-2000 Voice Evacuation Systems are approved. Next in line for certification is the company's VX-2000 Voice Evacuation System which should be certified within a number of weeks.

At the forthcoming ProLight+Sound exhibition in Frankfurt, TOA will place a particular emphasis on its EN54-certified products and Brett Downing, sales & marketing director, TOA Europe, says the company's success in this area embraces real-world projects as well as products.

"We were one of the first manufacturers to take EN54 certification of its products seriously and our track record of supporting the new standards is second to none in the industry," says Downing.

"Long before the new standards passed into law, our customers were designing and installing systems with EN54 compliance in mind, and we now have systems that meet the new standards in locations as varied as Headingley cricket ground UK, Brussels Expo, the O2 Arena in London and, most appropriately, the iconic new OpernTurm building in Frankfurt itself.

"We are especially looking forward to this year's ProLight+Sound show as it will give us the opportunity to meet our customers and discuss not just the certification of our product line but also the implications for system design that the new standards bring with them - with a proven track record of project support already behind us."
