Officially launched on the stand at a well-attended press call, Kling-Net is a new protocol designed to allow the distribution of real-time video data to remote display devices, such as LEDs or LED panels, over Ethernet.
ArKaos CEO Marco Hinic explained, "We don't want people to feel trapped by technology and are working with leading lighting desk manufacturers to make ArKaos products even more accessible and easy to use. Kling-Net is a major step forward in this about which we are very excited."
The distributor evening, which celebrated this launch alongside a successful year for ArKaos, began with a company presentation which included testimonials from lighting designers for existing ArKaos products.
This was followed by the announcement that Chauvet Lighting has become the second manufacturer, after Highlite International BV, to adopt the new Kling-Net protocol into its products, two of which are to be released at LDI as part of its new Epix range.
Emphasising the importance of the distributors' role to the ArKaos' success, the evening's presentation concluded with awards for the best distributors and a reiteration of the tenets at the centre of the ArKaos philosophy: quality, performance, innovation.
At the Awards, Jerome Bréhard of Axente was recognised for his DMX vision in moving ArKaos from the DJ world to the lighting industry; Guillaume Perrier of Axente and Oliver Winkler of LMP were acknowledged for their technical contribution and feedback which was so valuable to the development of ArKaos products.
The evening ended with a relaxed and informal buffet dinner giving distributors from around the world the opportunity to meet, discuss news and exchange ideas.
