From Phonic was the new MU range of compact mixers, fully-featured and competitively priced, and ideal for a variety of applications. Also on show, the new RoadGear range from Phonic, which is a fully integrated mobile sound solution. Housed in a stylish, durable, moulded case that contains a powered mixer and two loudspeakers along with all relevant cabling, both models in the range, the RoadGear 160 and 260, offer enough storage space to safely store away microphones as well as speaker and microphone cables.
Phonic's new Impression Series incorporates a stylish design with power and efficiency. The extensive range includes 12" and 15" stage and sound reinforcement speakers, a dual 15" model plus 15" and 18" subwoofers. All have been designed to offer high power handling abilities, and impressive frequency response ranges. Each speaker features professional speaker connectors, 1/4" phone jacks, 35mm pole mounting socket (except 215 model), solid steel grille protection, durable die-cast handles and are covered with hard wearing black carpet. The subwoofers feature built-in crossovers, as well as a phase inverting switch, ensuring your bass sounds are reproduced perfectly. All of these features, plus the power to cost ratio, ensure the entire Impression Series is a valuable investment.
Also displayed at PLASA, Phonic's SEM710, SEM712 and SEM715 entry level stage loudspeakers are the successors to the popular SE Series. Ideally suited for use with Phonic's Powerpod range, they offer great sound in a compact, cost-effective package, say Shure Distribution Europe. The SEM Series are 2-way loudspeakers, with up to 500W of power handling, featuring a sensitivity of 98dB SPL (1W/1M), 8 ohms nominal load, dual 1/4" phone jacks, built-in 35mm stand adaptor and handles plus steel corner protectors. Designed for a wide variety of applications, SEM Series speakers are also carpet covered for durability, lightweight and mildly weatherproof for indoor and some outdoor use.
New from QSC Audio was the latest and most powerful addition to the RMX Series power amplifier line - the RMX 5050, a solution for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications, from professional touring rigs and musicians to mobile DJs and entertainers. In addition, QSC's new MD (ModularDesign) Series loudspeakers was also displayed. The range encompasses eight models which incorporate the highest quality components resulting in robust and versatile enclosures. Conceived as a family of modular, arrayable, full-range and low frequency products, the MD Series is available in three coverage patterns with either 12" or 15" low frequency drivers. This makes the MD Series an exceptional choice for a wide variety of applications and a comprehensive solution to the myriad of challenges typically encountered in permanent sound reinforcement installations.
