Switzerland - Laserworld has introduced the new SwissLas PM-10.000RGB laser - a 10W RGB laser show system in an enclosure, not much bigger than a hand.

SwissLas was able to step up the power levels they could build into their compact Pure Micro housing from 5.7W over 8.2W and now to a spectacular 10W RGB white light power. This became possible due to recent developments in laser diode technology and a more compact way in which SwissLas combines the single sources inside the housing.

The PM-10.000RGB has a beam diameter of ca. 4mm and an average divergence of 1mrad. Due to the professional Pangolin ScannerMax 506 scanner system, it is fully graphics capable. Scanning speeds at >35kpps@8° ILDA. For even more performance an optional upgrade to CS-6210HP scanners is offered.

With a size of only 185x165x125mm, the Pure Micro housing is extremely small. Nevertheless it is dust

Germany - At Frankfurt this year, Pan Acoustics will feature the Dante option for Pan Beam series, Pan Speaker series and Pan Powerline.

The Dante option offers some interesting features: for example, Pan Beam columns can be operated with two independent audio streams with a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz. The priority circuit in the Pan Beam columns allows automatic switchover of the audio source, for instance switching between programme and announcement signals.

Pan Acoustics' Dante option provides a primary and secondary port, which can be used in redundant or daisy-chain mode. The latter enables other compatible Dante devices, such as a digital stagebox, to be added into the network. Pan Beam models can be set and monitored via the Dante audio network (directivity, EQ, delay, etc) Switching presets, saved in the Pan Beam column speakers, is also possible.

UK - There's another tool in the Source Four LED toolbox. ETC is announcing a new optic, the Source Four LED Fresnel adapter, which attaches to the front end of a Source Four LED Series 2 or Series 1 light engine, turning it into a superior washlight.

The Source Four LED fresnel adapter's highly tuned optics help create smooth light with soft edges. Its light blends evenly and uniformly from fixture to fixture. And it allows barn-dooring and the addition of 7.5-inch accessories, so even the most discerning designer can sculpt the light to the right specifications.

Because the Source Four LED light engines benefit from the extensive colour-mixing research ETC has done, the Source Four LED Fresnel can output tuneable white light that flawlessly illuminates people or objects, or the most expansive range of bold colour possible from an LED source.
