France - Extending spatial processing to a wider range of productions and venues, L-Acoustics has introduced the next generation of its 3D audio processing engine, L-ISA Processor II. The new processor offers users more power, performance and flexibility, and is available in four different output configurations through a one-time, tiered license fee.
Similar to its predecessor, L-ISA Processor II is a hardware solution that provides advanced object-based mixing for the most demanding immersive audio productions. While both units offer control of spatial audio processing and virtual acoustics for up to 96 audio objects based on speaker positioning information and mixing parameters - including pan, width, distance, elevation, and aux send - the new L-ISA Processor II doubles the original unit’s potential output count of 64 up to 128 outputs for greater power and versatility

Germany - A HOF moving light truss has won the Innovation Award for Crafts of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The prize was awarded on the 4 October in a ceremony at the K21 Ständehaus in Düsseldorf by NRW Minister of Economic Affairs Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart.
The MLT² Pre Rig Truss from HOF was awarded the prize because it enables shorter set-up and dismantling times and, thanks to the dolly with its telescopic legs, requires less manpower than its predecessor, the MLT. Likewise, the rotatable steel fork connectors allow vertical and horizontal circles to be created, offering new possibilities for stage design and light shows.
The dolly is foldable and can be stacked, which in turn saves an enormous amount of space at the event storage location. In addition to this, compared to its predecessor, the MLT² has received further features such as a forkl

Finland - Genelec has unveiled the first model in its new Signature Series with the introduction of the two-way 6040R Smart Active Loudspeaker, created in conjunction with Finnish industrial designer Harri Koskinen.
Koskinen’s long association with Genelec began 20 years ago with the introduction of the timeless 6040A model, the first Genelec loudspeaker to feature the distinctive minimalist curves of the Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) - a cabinet design by Koskinen that now forms the core of much of Genelec’s current loudspeaker range.
The 20th anniversary of the 6040 launch has given Genelec the opportunity to re-imagine the technology within the 6040 as part of a new Signature Series.
The re-engineered 6040R now features the same LF driver design and proprietary bi-amplified Class D power amplifier technology as Genelec’s professional loudspeaker

USA - Following the success of its ADAPTive Line, Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has announced its latest addition, the AC6 2-Way Full Range ADAPTive Column. Capable of generating a max SPL of 143db and 120° of horizontal nominal beamwidth, it’s targeted at installations, houses of worship and small performing arts centers.
Although slightly smaller than its predecessors, the AC6 includes just as many features. Managed via EAW’s Resolution 2 software, the AC6 can compensate for coverage and directivity with its Adaptive Performance technology. By integrating all factors and aspects of the loudspeaker, the AC6 can produce three-dimensional coverage in any venue, says EAW.
“With the ongoing success of our ADAPTive line arrays, we are excited to introduce a loudspeaker equipped with the same powerful DSP toolkit that EAW is known for, but inside a small-format colum

Italy - Outline has launched its Architectural Series, a range of loudspeakers designed specifically to ‘enable integrators to meet the aesthetic and performance demands of architects, interior designers and clients who want the ultimate in discreet, high-performance audio systems’.
Comprising four loudspeakers (the Ai41 and Ai81 ultra-compact columns, the Charlie 4 cube and the dedicated AS6 micro-sub) plus a complementary selection of mounting accessories, the primary focus of the new range is on premium sound quality.
Despite their diminutive size, each of the mid-high modules delivers balanced audio, whether from playback or ‘live’, while the AS6 dedicated subwoofer provides low-frequency reinforcement ‘that totally belies its dimensions’. All four also produce maximum SPLs far in advance of what one might reasonably expect from such a design.

Austria - Austrian Audio has announced the first of a new line of instrumental microphones for use in the studio and on stage: the CC8. Integral to this new small diaphragm microphone is Austrian Audio’s OCC7 condenser capsule. Inspired by the CK1, this newly developed capsule ‘delivers all the benefits of that classic design updated to meet the demands of today’.
The capsule’s three-micron-thick gold-coated polyethylene napthalate (PEN) diaphragm is much more robust than conventional mylar alternatives, says the company. The OCC7’s filter fabric guarantees a constant broadband cancellation, resulting in outstanding cardioid characteristics with exceptional attenuation of sound coming from the sides and rear.
The CC8 can handle high sound pressure levels of up to 156 dB SPL without distorting.
Thanks to the built-in switchable attenuation of 0 dB, -10

Spain - Thirty-five years ago Amate Audio introduced its original TriPhonic 2.1 power amplifier design, an integrated L/R and sub solution for small sound installations. More recently the company revived the concept with a Class-D based design - the TPD - incorporating onboard loudspeaker management DSP and proving popular with installers and commercial audio contractors.
Now the Barcelona loudspeaker company has extended the application potential of the platform with the launch of a higher power rated iteration of the rack-space, cable saving format. As the name suggests, the TPD3K provides in excess of 3000 W of combined power, with up to 750W continuous program power each for the left and right channels, and 2000W for the sub channel (at 4 Ω).
Onboard control DSP offers much of the operational performance advantage of Amate Audio’s fully active loudspeaker system

UK - The Maverick Silens 2 Profile doesn’t attract attention to itself because of its sound; the 100% convection cooled LED PCB fixture operates in virtual silence. However, the versatile 560W luminaire did make waves recently when it was honoured with a 2021 PLASA Award For Innovation.
The only moving fixture (and one of two lighting products) to earn this recognition at the PLASA show, the Maverick Silens 2 Profile was singled out for its “near silent operation,” being described by the independent panel of judges as “the sound engineer’s favourite light.”
Without making a sound, the Maverick Silens 2 Profile wowed judges with its impressive visual performance, thanks to features like CMY+CTO colour mixing with CRI, R9, CQS, and TLCI all between 91 and 97 (depending on the colour temperature mixed). Other features that speak volumes about this silent powe
