On 1 April 2004, Audio-Technica UK assumed responsibility for all European distribution and completed a refurbishment and expansion of its Leeds-based office and warehouse facilities in June. To support this major expansion of European operations, new appointments during this year began in April, with that of Richard Garrido as European marketing and distribution director, followed by Evangeline Pirot as area sales manager and manufacture liaison manager for France.
Isabelle Alran was appointed as European sales manager in October. Alran is well known in the industry and will be responsible to Richard Garrido for all European distributor sales. Meanwhile, Sharon Stevenson has been promoted to European sales office manager, and Alex Lepges was appointed technical support manager for Europe in July. Ebrahim Chopdat was appointed service manager in September and Lee Barnes as purchasing and operations manager, at the same time.
