Since RCF launched the original ART Line in 1996, the products have seen success in both the MI and fixed installation markets. But, say RCF, after listening to their global customer base it became clear that different cosmetic and hardware facilities were needed to satisfy both market sectors. The company's R&D listened to these comments and have answered the majority of the requests with ART II - the major features being alternative full-grilled models for fixed installation, with the MI versions offering pole-mount accessories for stand or correct height positioning with the matching subwoofer systems for stage use.
The following four models are designed using newly-created RCF's True Active Extended Dynamics (TAED) active amplifier technology, based around 250W low and 50W high bi- amplified modules. Each model offers: combo Jack/XLR balanced inputs, output link, mic/line input, switchable EQ mode (voice/music), optional remote control for volume, mute and EQ.
Full grilled models for installation include the ART 312A which starts the line with a 12" woofer and 1" neodymium compression driver with 250W of active power to the woofer and 50W powering the neodymium HF compression driver. The ART 315A is similar in specification but offers a 15" woofer assembly and 1" HF compression driver.
The ART 322A is a high performance model using a 12" woofer pairing up to a high specification RCF Precision Series 1.4" exit neodymium compression driver which provides enhanced high frequency clarity and definition. Joining the above is the ART 325A which is a 15" version using the same high frequency topology.
Three different high efficiency passive designs are also available. The ART 315 (15" + 1" combination), ART 322 (12" +2" combination) and the ART 325 (15" + 2" combination), again with the choice of a full-grilled option. To complete the new ART Series, RCF has designed a new, compact bandpass technology 15" active subwoofer (ART 705AS) built from heavy duty Baltic Birch for road worthiness.
