Rob Castle, MD of Korg UK and Scott Goodman, president of Samson Technologies Corp.
UK - UK and Ireland distribution of the Samson and Hartke brands will transfer to Korg UK from 1st January 2009. Rob Castle, managing director Korg UK comments: "Samson and Hartke will be a great complement to Korg and Vox, whilst also having products relevant to our other brands. We are working with Sound Technology to ensure a smooth transition."

David Marshall, managing director at Sound Technology Ltd commented: "Samson and Hartke have been fantastic brands for us and we are very grateful for the opportunity Samson have given us over the years. However our purchase of Harman Pro UK earlier this year necessitated a review of existing brands to ensure that there is no possibility of conflict. Although we are sorry to be letting these brands go, we wish Korg UK every success in the future."

Peter Jostins, vice-president of International Sales for Samson said: "We are grateful to Sound Technology for their work on the brands and we wish them well for the future"

Samson began over two decades ago as an audio technology company designing wireless microphone systems. Today it is an industry leader in audio technology with a strong crossover from the pro audio and music segments to the consumer market. Hartke is best known for their bass amps and cabinets with unique aluminium cone drivers.
