Lighting designer and programmer Fares Aljunied used two grandMA full-size, one grandMA light, one MA NSP and two grandMA video media server for the show. The sheer size of the venue made it necessary to consider a network based layout. Several stages and installations were spread out over the various floors which had to be linked. According to Aljunied: "It was simply a breeze to connect the various consoles and have them synchronised for the show."
The customer's requirements involved the use of media servers for live video content, as well as Art-Net output to LED-panels. Aljunied covered these by using grandMA onPC running on a laptop standalone, directly connected to the media server.
Sher Mohamad, director of Concept 360, reported: "The grandMA was so user friendly for Aljunied to work on, given such a short time for programming before the main show. This enabled him to create innovative lightings for the show which was really the icing on the cake, enhancing the event to a higher level. I would strongly recommend the grandMA to the event management industry and industry peers as it is a god send solution, especially when it comes to fast programming and creative lighting solutions. Above all, it was stress and fuss free."
