Germany - German LED rental company Screen Visions, specialist in large-scale video screens for indoor and outdoor use, has been working with Triple-A-Production from Berlin to develop an advanced construction consisting of a total of 25 FlexiScreen modules for the German tour of the Schiller band with Christopher von Deylen. Five columns of five modules each will be positioned in a semi-circle behind the band, creating a unique atmosphere during the concerts with a specially composed light choreography.

"Anyone who has had the chance to experience Schiller live knows that the audience can always expect a very special sound and light experience", says Roger Rinke, CEO of Screen Visions. Two years ago, the specialists from Screen Visions provided the screens for Schiller's Live Erleben Tour 2004. This year again, Bodo Schulte's team at Triple A Productions will rely on the expertise of Screen Visions. "After all, Schiller's performance relies heavily on the overall staging. It's the perfect interplay between sound and visual effects that makes a concert unforgettable," said Schulte.

"The requirements on the screens, determined by both the concert organizers and the artists, have increased immeasurably over recent years. Today, individualized solutions are what everyone is looking for. We often have to build custom-made constructions," adds Rinke. These include the specially designed video screen construction that Senior Consultant Janet Molfenter's team recently developed for the Depeche Mode concerts in Germany and Denmark. The brief for the team was to make two Barco DLite 7 screens on the left and the right side of the stage move in sync with the choreography. The real challenge, however, was the five-ton weight of each screen and the tilting to the right and left over the screen's balance point. A special bracket was customized, at great effort and great expense, but in the end it was certainly worth it. The two screens - in 16:9 format on the right and in portrait format on the left - moved three times in sync with Dave Gahan's performance during the two-hour musical highlight.

Whether round in shape, or high resolution, with the state-of-the-art and innovative technology available today, there are no limits to the development of large-scale video screens for concerts and major events. And Roger Rinke and Janet Molfenter, who have acquired 18 years of experience in the field, bear witness to this. Their expertise becomes evident in the company's selection of appropriate technology. As Senior Consultant, Janet Molfenter explains: "Our core competence is to fulfil our customers' wishes to the greatest extent possible. We always work very closely with our customers to develop the ideal solution for them. We don't try to sell the standard." At the same time, Screen Visions is adopting solutions that go well beyond the standard 4:3 format more and more often. It doesn't matter whether a staging concept calls for a special heaving or fastening component to execute the vision of a round or moving screen. As far as technology is concerned, Screen Visions is always state-of-the-art.
