NetCIRA - Network Commercial, Industrial & Residential Audio - is a new brand from the Fostex Company of Japan. Offering practically packaged and easy to install products, NetCIRA brings network audio to a wide market and creates a new price/performance standard for the technology. Ideally suited for both live and installed sound distribution due to its 'real-time' behaviour, NetCIRA products are set to become a standard for audio distribution over Ethernet.
The Ethersound protocol offers up to 64 channels of simultaneous digital audio at a very low latency. Up to 63,000 devices can then be used on any Ethersound network to either add further inputs (up to a total of 64) or receive data. The data can be received by either an output module of which there are many types including some with built in amplifiers, single of dual channel or a master receiver with up to eight outputs in a variety of connector and protocol types including XLR, RCA, AES/EBU and ADAT.
NetCIRA is distributed in the UK by Sennheiser UK.
