UK - Midas' PRO2 digital console has been praised by FOH sound engineer Dan Lewis for adding great tone to the sound of Beady Eye whilst protecting precious punch at the band's recent gig at Manchester's Heaton Park.

Lewis, who is a director of Urban Audio Productions, comments, "When you're dealing with a band that has a big guitar sound you need a console that is sympathetic to that sound and not too analytical. All the Midas PRO series have what many engineers call this 'warmth' to them and it is this sound that I feel helps to tame really raw sounding instruments whilst preserving what you are really after in a mix."

A long time Midas user and fan, Lewis has already purchased a PRO2 and a PRO2C console for his company Urban Audio Productions and has previously used a PRO6 for Beady Eye live shows. But for this performance, as Gallagher's Beady Eye supported The S

UK - In 2011 Crowborough Rugby Club said farewell to the old club house that had served them since 1960 and quickly realised that there was a noise problem in their new building and called in Black Cat Acoustics.

Club chairman and commercial director Graham Callard comments, "The acoustics were terrible. W had some early parties and people could not hear themselves speak." This prompted Crowborough Rugby Club to look for a solution and Black Cat Acoustics were recommended.

Callard continues, "We set two criteria - the quality of the acoustic panels to do what they say they are going to do and of course the aesthetics. Black Cat Acoustics met both criteria and the people we worked with were excellent. The survey was done very quickly, very professionally with good advice. The fitting was just superb. Dates were agreed in advance and delivered on time."

UAE - Our Own English High School in Sharjah, UAE, has upgraded the sound system in its auditorium from Allen & Heath analogue to iLive digital control.

The school was using an Allen & Heath analogue console and decided to stay with the brand for the upgrade. The school opted for an iLive-T112 Control Surface and iDR-64 MixRack, supplied by local distributor VV & Sons and installed by Crown Star Technology (LLC).
