With space at a premium, the E6 provided the perfect solution - in terms of both aesthetic and operability. The Kashmir Klub has a long relationship with Soundcraft products and Moore is delighted with the company's continuing involvement via their new showpiece Spirit products: "This event produced two logistical challenges. We needed to be able to specify the right, high quality equipment to fulfil the requirements of a diversity of acts performing in five stores [Marks & Spencer, Jaeger, Cecil Gee, Orange and the Virgin Megastore]. Secondly, the equipment needed to be ergonomically and aesthetically pleasing, and simple to use. The E6 met all the criteria and we were excited to be one of the first people to use the new Series.
He continued: "The artists, in particular, appreciated the sound quality. Having no permanent sound engineer other than a floating technician it was important that the equipment in situ was of sufficient quality that the artists themselves could manage their own sound. The E6 was absolutely ideal for our needs."
With the E6, the emphasis is firmly on quality audio performance, with an easy to understand control surface uncluttered by unnecessary facilities. Mic and line inputs are provided on balanced XLR and 1/4" jack connectors for optimum performance, with the main stereo outputs on balanced XLRs for better integration with other professional equipment. There are also insert points on every mono channel and the mix outputs for external signal processing. With its clever carry handles offering good portability the set up and break down procedures could also be carried out efficiently.
