El Hormiguero is a wacky TV chat show peppered with gags, interviews and goofy scientific experiments, presented by Pablo Motos assisted by puppets Trancas and Barrancas. Broadcast Monday to Friday, this primetime show has won many awards, including an Onda for the Best Entertainment Show. With around 260,000 followers, it is also the most popular TV programme on Tuenti, Spain's number one social network.
Meanwhile, Tonterías las Justas is a humorous magazine programme presented by Florentino Fernández, broadcast Monday to Friday at 3:40 pm.
The first installation was for El Hormiguero, which was also the first Spanish TV programme to opt for Christie MicroTiles. "We wanted to introduce something new in the sector and add something different to the set," says Jorge Salvador, executive producer and CEO of 7 y Acción. "After various tests with other systems, including a plasma video wall and even a large plasma screen with the same dimensions, we opted for MicroTiles for various reasons: cost, maintenance and quality."
Marcos Fernández, from Christie, says that Pablo Motos, presenter of El Hormiguero, was wowed by the quality of the video wall. "He even told us that in all his time in TV he has never seen such excellent performance in a studio set."
